Check approval first
Utah Fits All pays an online program only if Odyssey has approved it, either as a private school on the approved list or as a provider in the marketplace. AmFaith did not appear on the 2026-27 approved private-school list or the marketplace vendor list we reviewed in October 2026, so ask AmFaith directly whether it is an approved Utah Fits All provider before you enroll or pay.
Which award would apply
A full-time online program that is not an approved private school would usually be paid from a home-based award: $4,000 for ages 5 to 11 or $6,000 for ages 12 to 18 in 2026-27. The $8,000 private-school amount requires an approved school that provides full-time instruction at least three days a week.
Who looks at online options
Families in Tooele County and the far west and south of the Salt Lake Valley, where faith-based campuses are farther away, sometimes look at online Christian programs. So do families who travel or want a Christian curriculum while teaching at home. Compare any online program with local Christian schools on the Utah Fits All list before choosing.
Questions to ask
Ask whether the program is approved by Odyssey and in what category, how it bills, what its current tuition is, and whether it provides teachers or expects a parent to teach. Utah Fits All cannot pay a parent for teaching, and Odyssey does not approve brokers that resell another provider's services.
Common questions
Can Utah Fits All pay for an online Christian school in Salt Lake City?
Utah Fits All can pay an online Christian school only if Odyssey has approved it as a private school or as a marketplace provider. A Salt Lake family should check the approved 2026-27 lists or ask the online school directly. Programs that are not approved cannot be paid from the account, even if the family homeschools with them.
Is AmFaith on the Utah Fits All approved list?
AmFaith did not appear on the approved 2026-27 Utah Fits All private-school list or on the marketplace vendor list reviewed in October 2026. Lists change, so a Salt Lake or Tooele family interested in AmFaith should ask AmFaith whether it is an approved Utah Fits All provider and in which category before enrolling or making payments.
