Tooele County has only a handful of private schools, which makes each one's funding status more important. On the approved 2026-27 Utah Fits All list we matched two Tooele schools in our directory: St. Marguerite Catholic School and Foundation Christian Academy. Alpine Academy's Mountain View Campus in Erda is a residential-treatment program listed by NAIS, and Utah Fits All does not pay for residential treatment.
When the local school is not the right fit

The home-based Utah Fits All award is $4,000 for ages 5 to 11 and $6,000 for ages 12 to 18, and Utah's 2024 SB 13 lets a home-based microschool of up to 25 students operate in any zoning district. For a group of Stansbury Park families pooling a tutor, that is often the most practical structure.
Children with an IEP
St. Marguerite appears on USBE's Carson Smith eligible list as well as the Utah Fits All list, so a Tooele child with an IEP can compare both routes at the same school. For specialist autism or learning-differences programs, most of the options on the Carson Smith list are in the Salt Lake Valley, from Midvale and Sandy to West Jordan.
Getting the timing right
Because the local supply of seats is small, a Tooele family should confirm a seat and the school's Utah Fits All status before the spring application window, then select the school in the Odyssey portal by the school-selection deadline, which was June 15 in the 2026-27 cycle. Returning students and siblings get first priority, so a family already on the scholarship keeps its place by renewing on time.
