Christian Schools in Greater Salt Lake City
Lutheran, Greek Orthodox, nondenominational and other Christian schools across the valley, many of them small preschool-through-8 programs tied to a congregation.
Funding note: Check each school's Utah Fits All status in the table; church-member tuition rates are worth asking about for any gap left after the $8,000 award.
Christian schools in the valley are mostly small and tied to a congregation: Lutheran schools in Salt Lake City, Sandy and Riverton, a Greek Orthodox school on the east bench, and nondenominational programs from West Valley City to the east bench, with Intermountain Christian the largest K-12 campus.
Utah Fits All status varies school by school, so read the column before you apply. Where a school is not on the list, the Carson Smith list sometimes still includes it for a child with an IEP. Church-member and multi-child rates are common and are worth asking about early.
Where they are: Millcreek, Holladay & Cottonwood Heights (4), Sandy & Draper (3), West Jordan, South Jordan, Riverton & Herriman (2), Salt Lake City (2), Murray, Midvale & Taylorsville (2), West Valley City, Kearns & Magna (1), Tooele County (1).
