Private High Schools in Greater Salt Lake City
Private high schools and K-12 campuses in Salt Lake and Tooele counties, including Judge Memorial, Juan Diego and residential programs.
Funding note: Utah Fits All covers grades 9-12 at an approved school, but private-school students cannot use state-funded concurrent enrollment unless the school contracts with a college.
Private high schools in Salt Lake and Tooele counties range from the two Catholic high schools of the diocese, Judge Memorial and Juan Diego, to K-12 campuses such as Intermountain Christian and Anthem Preparatory and a number of residential and therapeutic programs. The Utah Fits All award is the same $8,000 in grades 9-12 as in elementary school.
Concurrent enrollment works differently here than in public high schools: private-school students are not eligible for state concurrent-enrollment funds unless their school contracts directly with a college such as Salt Lake Community College or the University of Utah. Ask each school whether it has such an agreement and what the course fees are.
Where they are: West Jordan, South Jordan, Riverton & Herriman (5), Millcreek, Holladay & Cottonwood Heights (5), Murray, Midvale & Taylorsville (5), Sandy & Draper (4), Salt Lake City (4), Tooele County (1).
