Special-Needs Schools in Greater Salt Lake City
Schools and centers in the valley that focus on autism, learning differences or therapeutic and hospital-based education.
Funding note: A child with an IEP chooses between Utah Fits All and a Carson Smith scholarship; USBE publishes which schools can take Carson Smith students.
These schools have names or federal records that point to autism, learning differences, or hospital and therapeutic education. Several are list-only rows from USBE's Carson Smith eligible list, which means they appear on that list but have no federal survey record, so we show only name and city.
For a child with an IEP, the Carson Smith route is usually the first comparison: the original scholarship pays current students up to $12,175 in 2026-27. Utah Fits All can still be the better fit where a family wants to combine a lower-cost school with therapies paid from the same $8,000.
Where they are: Murray, Midvale & Taylorsville (4), Sandy & Draper (3), West Jordan, South Jordan, Riverton & Herriman (1), Salt Lake City (1), Millcreek, Holladay & Cottonwood Heights (1).
