Willow Creek Montessori

Independent School for grades PK-K in Salt Lake City. Not found on the Utah Fits All participating-school list. Here is how the Utah awards fit, what the records show and what to ask on a visit.

Where this comes from. Utah Fits All status comes from Odyssey's approved 2026-27 private-school list and Carson Smith status from USBE's eligible-school list (revised Aug 31, 2026), both matched by name October 12, 2026. Enrollment and grades are from the U.S. Department of Education's Private School Survey (NCES, 2023-24 and 2021-22). Neither source reports tuition, so confirm tuition and participation with the school.

How Utah Fits All and Carson Smith fit

$8,000
Utah Fits All (2026-27) for the grades served here (K-12). A child with an IEP may instead use a Carson Smith scholarship at a school on USBE's Carson Smith list, but not both in the same year.

Students reported to the federal survey (2023-24)

Utah Fits All pays $8,000 for a private-school student for 2026-27 at an approved school; home-based students receive $4,000 or $6,000 by age. Odyssey runs the program, and returning students, siblings and lower-income families are funded first when applications exceed the money.

We did not find Willow Creek Montessori on Odyssey's approved Utah Fits All Scholarship private-school list (Oct 2026). The list gives names only and is updated each spring, so ask the school whether it participates before you plan around the Utah Fits All award.

Willow Creek Montessori did not appear on USBE's Carson Smith eligible-school list (Oct 2026), so a Carson Smith scholarship is not an option here unless the list changes.

The school also enrolls preschoolers. Utah Fits All starts at age 5, so for younger children ask about the school's preschool aid and whether it takes the state child care subsidy.

Independent schools here set their own need-based aid, which is often the largest source after any scholarship; ask for the aid calendar early, since it may close before Utah Fits All awards are announced.

What the public records show

The U.S. Department of Education's Private School Survey (2023-24) shows the school reporting 9 students, 8.3 full-time-equivalent teachers, a 1.1:1 student-teacher ratio and grades PK-K.

Memberships/accreditation listed by: AMS. These come from directory listings. Utah Fits All does not require accreditation, and a membership is not always accreditation, so ask the school for its current status.
